Welcome to the Resources for Beyond Globalization Blog

IHP Beyond Globalization is a comparative study abroad program traveling to 5 different countries in 8 months. IHP is a program of SIT/World Learning. More information on the Beyond Globalization program is available at the SIT website http://www.sit.edu/studyabroad/ssa_bga.cfm.

We created this blog to make a space for students, alumni and faculty to share resources for helping each other in rethinking globalization. This site includes links to suggested films, readings, online lectures, websites, blogs and other resources that current, prospective and returned students might find useful for contextualizing and better understanding the experiences that the Beyond Globalization Program (BG) provides.

This blog also includes links to a selection of the speakers and institutions that we have visited on BG in the past. This is provided as an introduction to prospective students on the sorts of people and places that we visit on BG and can also be useful for current and returning students who are interested in keeping connected to the networks of social justice and environmental organizations accessed through the BG Program.

At the bottom of this page is a section on "resources for group learning" and some examples of the sort of projects some alumni are working on now.

Your suggestions for additional links and your comments/reviews/reflections of the existing resources are most welcome. Please share with us any resources that were helpful for you in understanding globalization and development.
